HTC has launched the Desire 620 and Desire 620G budget dual-SIM smartphones in Taiwan, and these handsets may come to India soon.
Taiwanese phone manufacturer HTC has announced the HTC Desire 620 and 620G dual-SIM budget smartphones in Taiwan. The phone was earlier reported in hands-on images by a Bulgarian website.
From their looks, both phones look almost exactly like the Desire 820 but instead of a 5.5 HD screen the two Desire 620s use a 5-inch 720p screen. Both come with 8GB internal storage and 1GB of RAM. Both Desire 620 phones have an 8MP camera with autofocus and a 5MP front-facing camera.
The primary difference between the two new phones is that the Desire 620 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 306 GPU, whereas the Desire 620G is powered by a MediaTek MT6592 SoC with its octa-core CPU clocked at 1.7GHz and accompanied by a Mali-450MP4 GPU.
Both smartphones feature a plastic build and front-facing stereo speakers. The Desire 620 is priced at 6990 TWD (Rs. 14,000) and the Desire 620G is priced at 4990 TWD (Rs. 10,000). Since HTC is still developing its Sense UI for Android 5.0, both phones come with Android 4.4.4 out of the box.
HTC has not announced any details regarding the availability of the smartphones in other countries but it is expected that the two smartphones will be in India soon.
