HTC may soon launch its Butterfly S smartphone in India. The smartphone has made an appearance on the company’s India website, featuring images and specifications details.
Last month, HTC had announced the Butterfly S for the Taiwanese market. The smartphone, believed to be the successor to the original HTC Butterfly, sports a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and pixel density of 440 ppi. It also has the same UltraPixel camera that was made famous by the HTC One.
The HTC Butterfly S runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0 and is powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor along with a 2GB of RAM. It has built-in storage of 16GB and comes with microSD memory card slot that supports 64GB storage.
For connectivity, the Butterfly S supports 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, micro-USB, GPS and NFC. For audio enthusiasts, the smartphone features HTC BoomSound, dual-frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers, Beats Audio and Sense Voice.
The smartphone comes with a 3,200 mAh battery. You can check out the full specifications of the HTC Butterfly S here.
So far there’s no word on the pricing of the smartphone, though we expect it to be around Rs. 35-40,000, considering HTC’s Butterfly is priced at Rs. 37,500 and the latest flagship HTC One retails for around Rs. 40,000.
HTC is reportedly readying a dual-SIM version of the Butterfly S. Recent leaked images of the smartphone showed the dual-SIM Butterfly S comes with a removable back cover that gives access to two micro-SIM card slots and a microSD slot.
