Honor X8B appears on IMDA certification, hinting at imminent launch

Honor made its comeback in the Indian smartphone market in September this year with the launch of Honor 90. Now, a new device named Honor X8B has been spotted on the IMDA certification website.

It seems like Honor is working on a new smartphone as The Tech Outlook has spotted Honor X8B on Singapore’s IMDA certification website with model number LLY-LX2.

According to the listing, the upcoming X8B smartphone is expected to support WLAN and Bluetooth connectivity.

The listing didn’t reveal anything else about the upcoming smartphone. However, with its emergence on various certification websites, it is anticipated that the smartphone could be unveiled in the near future. More details about the Honor X8B smartphone might likely surface in the upcoming days.

Let’s check out the specs of the Honor X9B smartphone. The X9B features a 6.78-inch wide AMOLED display that offers a 1.5K screen resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC paired with Adreno A710 GPU. This smartphone comes in two variants: 8GB/256 GB and 12 GB/256 GB.

For photography, the X9B houses a triple rear camera setup on the back that includes a 108MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it features a 16MP camera.

This smartphone model is also packed with a 5,800 mAh battery with support for 35W wired fast charging. The Honor X9B is expected to launch in India by the end of December or early January. 

Recently, two possible Honor 100 lineup smartphones, with model numbers MAA-AN10 and MA-AN00, were spotted on the 3C certification in China. There are speculations that the Honor 100 series could feature a 1.5K resolution display with eye protection through high-frequency dimming. The lineup is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
