HIGHLIGHTS

The Honor V10 is expected to bring features of company's premium Mate 10 series down to the mid-range price segment. The smartphone will be launched in China on November 28 and will be launched in Europe on December 5.

The Honor V10 will be launched on November 28 in China. The company has posted an official teaser for the launch on its Weibo account and it is expected to bring some of the features of Huawei's flagship Mate 10 series down to the mid-range price segment.

The Honor V10 is expected to be powered by the company's Kirin 970 chipset, which is found only on Huawei's flagship Mate 10 series. The chipset is based on the 10nm architecture and also includes a dedicated neural processing unit for handling AI tasks. It is expected to sport a 6-inch Full HD+ display with a bezel-less design, similar to the Mate 10 Pro. But the company might opt for Quad HD+ resolution considering that the Honor V9 sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD display.

The base variant of the Honor V10 is expected to feature 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, while a premium model could step up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone should compete with the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. Other details include a combination of 16MP + 20MP dual-rear camera setup and the company CEO has confirmed that the handset will run Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0, just like the Mate 10 devices. It is also expected to sport a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support.

Following its November 28 launch in China, the smartphone will be launched for the European markets at an event in London on December 5. Huawei's Honor brand will highlight the benefits of the dedicated AI chipset at the event and the smartphone is expected to be priced around 3,000 Yuan (around Rs 30,000). Honor V9 was rebranded as Honor 8 Pro in India and the V10 is also expected to follow suit.
