Honor, Huawei's sub-brand, has announced the launch of the Honor 8 Lite. The smartphone is the first device to launch with company's Android Nougat based EMUI 5.0 in India. The handset is priced at Rs 17,999 and will be available from all Honor partner stores across India starting May 12. The company says the device will initially only be available in black, with the blue variant launching later.
Honor 8 Lite, like company's premium Honor 8 smartphone, features an all-glass design with the reflective back panel. The phone sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display with 2.5D glass on top. The handset is powered by company's own Kirin 655 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The smartphone was first announced in Finland, offers a single 12MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie shooter.

Honor has been expanding its Honor 8 portfolio and it recently added Honor 8 Pro model with dual rear cameras and flagship specifications. The Honor 8 Lite with its 3000mAh battery and microUSB port for charging is aimed at mid-range segment buyers.
