After launching the Honor 10 in India just days ago, the company is now launching its budget to midrange offerings – Honor 7A and Honor 7C – in the country. The two smartphones bring Honor’s Face Unlock tech and the now famed 18:9 aspect ratio displays within an affordable price tag if their China pricing is anything to go by. Honor will be livestreaming the launch event of the Honor 7A and 7C starting 11:30AM today. If interested, head here to catch the livestream.
Honor 7A Specifications
The Honor 7A was launched back in April and features a 5.7-inch, HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device comes with Face Unlock and features dual rear cameras, something we are seeing in almost all smartphones today. The 7A is available in China in two variants, one with 2GB RAM/32GB ROM priced at 799 Yuan (Rs 8,300 approx), and another with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which costs 999 Yuan (Rs 10,300 approx). The internal memory on the phone further supports expansion using a microSD card. It is available in two colour options – Black Gold and Blue.
For it’s chipset, the Honor 7A uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 Octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, paired with an Adreno 505 GPU. The screen resolution stands at 720 x 1440 pixels and the phone runs on EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. It is powered by a 3000 mAh battery and has a fingerprint sensor located at the back. In the camera department, the device features a 13MP + 2MP dual lens setup with an LED Flash. On the front, it is equipped with an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Honor 7C Specifications
The Honor 7C sports a larger 5.99-inch display HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It also features Face Unlock and dual rear cameras, same as the Honor 7A. The camera setup at the back of the device includes a 13MP unit that is aided by a 2MP depth sensing camera. At the front is a single 8MP camera, also same as the 7A. The fingerprint sensor is located at the back of the phone and it also runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android Oreo. The difference rests in the chipset and as opposed to the 7A’s Snapdragon 430, the 7C runs on the Snapdragon 450 processor.
It is available in China in two variants. The 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant is priced at CNY 899 (approx Rs 9,200), while the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant is priced at CNY 1299 (approx rs 13,300).
