Honor 6A budget smartphone with 5-inch HD display launched in China
Honor 6A sports a metal unibody design and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 platform
Huawei's Honor brand has announced another entry-level smartphone in its home market of China. The newly announced Honor 6A is a compact smartphone that offers a metal unibody design at an affordable price tag. The smartphone starts at 799 Yuan (approximately Rs. 8,000) and will be available for preorder starting May 25.
In terms of specifications, the Honor 6A features a 5-inch 720p HD display and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 platfrom . The base model comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, but there will be a 3GB RAM, 32GB storage offering as well. It sports a fingerprint sensor at the back and will pack a 3020mAh battery rated for 12 hours of video playback.
The Honor 6A sports a 13MP rear camera with support for 1080p video recording and different shooting modes like beauty, HDR and Professional. The 5MP front camera also comes with beautification feature and panoramic self-timer option as well as support for full HD video recording.The handset runs EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and comes in four different colour options with gold and silver colours available initially. The device will be available from Vmall and JD.com in China and it is not yet known if or when the company plans to launch the device in India.
