Honor’s flagship smartphone series, the Honor 100 series was unveiled in China just yesterday. Now, they’re soon going to be on sale in China and eventually will make their way into the other markets. The series comprises two smartphones: the Honor 100 and the Honor 100 Pro. Honor 100 also becomes the first smartphone to carry the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Let’s find out more about the series.

The Honor 100 and the Honor 100 Pro were launched yesterday in China. Let’s first take a look at their specifications.

Honor 100 series display

Speaking of the display first, the Honor 100 sports a  6.7-inch OLED display. It has a 2664×1200 pixels resolution. The Pro version, on the other hand, comes with a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display, offering 2700×1224 pixels resolution. Both the Honor 100 and the Honor Pro have a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness, and 3840Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming technology.

Honor 100 series performance

Next, the Honor 100 is backed by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset whereas the Honor 100 Pro packs the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. In addition to this, it also has an in-house C1 chip and VC liquid cooling system. With both smartphones, we get up to 16GB RAM along with 512GB for the Honor 100 and a 1TB storage option on the Honor 100 Pro. Both smartphones run on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13.

Coming to the cameras now. Honor 100’s camera module includes a Sony IMX906 50-megapixel primary lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle macro lens. For selfies, you get a massive 50-megapixel front camera. Moving on to the Honor 100 Pro, you get a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 primary sensor, a 32-megapixel Telephoto lens with OIS, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle macro lens. On the front, it has two cameras for selfies, which include a 50-megapixel and a 2-megapixel lens.

Speaking of the battery now, both smartphones pack a 5,000mAh battery that comes along with 100-watt fast charging support. The Honor 100 Pro, however, also offers 66W fast wireless charging support. 

Both smartphones come in four colour variants: Purple, Blue, White, and Black.

Lastly, speaking of the prices, the Honor 100 has a starting price of CNY 2,499 (Rs 29,600 approx), and the Honor 100 Pro starts at CNY 3,399 (Rs 40,300 approx).
