HMD Global is expected to launch its own-branded smartphones in India by April this year. For those who are unaware, HMD Global has been launching Nokia-branded phones globally for the last few years. As anticipation builds for the upcoming launch, an HMD phone’s render has now surfaced online.
The HMD smartphone’s render has been leaked online by a Finnish online publication Suomimobiili, reports 91mobiles.

The render features a woman sitting over a Cyan-coloured HMD Global smartphone.
On the rear side of the phone in the render, there is a rectangular module that includes two circular rings.
Notably, the engraving on the back of the phone indicates the presence of a 108MP OIS camera.
It seems like the render is part of promotional material and might have been leaked well in advance of the intended plan.
In a leak last week, tipster Evan Blass revealed the codenames for the initial lineup of HMD-branded phones on X, which included Pulse, Legend, Pulse+, Legend Plus, Pulse Pro and Legend Pro. The phone featured in the leaked render could have one of these codenames.
Ravi Kunwar, HMD Global Vice President of India and APAC, mentioned earlier that India will be a key focus for the company. He clarified that all phones from HMD Global will be manufactured in India. The company is anticipated to unveil a few smartphones in the first half of this year. Kunwar highlighted that both HMD Global and Nokia phones will co-exist in the market, targeting different sections of the audience.
