HMD Global, the company that manufactures Nokia smartphones, has launched a new budget-range smartphone in India, the G42 5G. The Nokia G42 5G comes with a 65% recycled back panel. The smartphone comes in two colour options that are So Purple and So Grey. As for the design, it pretty much looks like Nokia’s modern smartphone like the G310. The Nokia G42 5G also has a very good build quality, as the company claimed, “it has gone through 2x drop test compared to the G50 model.” Here are its specifications: 

The Nokia G42 5G comes with a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of HD+ (720 x 1612 pixels). The display supports up to 90Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It runs on the Android 13 Operating System and promised the security update for two years. The company has claimed the Nokia G43 5G provides 480 nits of peak brightness.

Nokia G42 5G

This smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chipset, which is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. This smartphone also offers a virtual RAM of up to 5GB. Speaking of the battery, it is packed with a 5000mAh battery with a support of 20-watt fast charging. 

The Nokia G42 5G sports a triple camera setup on the back holding a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens for close-up shots, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portrait shots. On the front, it sports an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

Talking about the price and availability, the Nokia G42 5G has launched in India at a price of ₹12,599. It will be available for purchase on Amazon at 12 PM IST.
