HMD has just launched a new smartphone in India, which comes with a unique design. This smartphone is called the HMD Fusion. More than that, it also comes with two unique cases, which the brand is calling ‘Smart Outfits’. These smart outfits include Flashy Outfit and Gaming Outfit. What do these cases do? We’ll tell you this shortly but before that let me remind you that the HMD Fusion is not the only smartphone with a unique design. It has launched in India at a price of Rs 17,999, and we have another contender in this same price range with a unique design. Yes, it is the CMF Phone 1.
In this article, I am going to compare the design and specifications of both these smartphones. Let’s see which one offers you more under Rs 18,000.
Both smartphones come with a replaceable back. While CMF offers cases with a lanyard, wallet, and stand, HMD came up with a different approach with its Fusion smartphone’s cases:
Coming to their specifications now, the HMD Fusion comes with a 6.56-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate support. On the other hand, you get a 6.67-inch AMOLED picture with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support.
The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor powers the HMD Fusion, while the CMF Phone 1 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. With the HMD Fusion, you get only a single storage option; 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. However, the CMF Phone 1 offers two storage variants; 6GB RAM 128GB storage and 8GB RAM 256GB storage.
For photography, you get a 108-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor on the back of the HMD Fusion. On the other hand, a 50-megapixel main camera along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor are available on the CMF Phone 1.
Lastly, both smartphones are packed with a 5000mAh battery with 33-watt fast charging support.
HMD has launched the Fusion in India for Rs 17,999. However, with this price, the brand will also be giving you a gaming outfit. There are no additional charges for that. But with the CMF Phone 1, which is currently available at a starting price of Rs 14,999, you have to pay more for its additional cases. The CMF Phone 1 is already available on Flipkart and Amazon. The HMD Fusion will go on its first sale on November 29 on Amazon.
