Here’s what Apple iPhone 16 could feature to deal with heating issue
A rumour suggests that Apple could possibly be working to figure out the heating problem.
Apple is considering switching to graphene heat sinks on the iPhone 16.
We might also get to see a bigger display in the iPhone 16.
Apple made a lot of noise when it launched the iPhone 15 series in September this year. But the disappointment of the users regarding the heating issue on the new iPhone was even louder, bringing Apple a PR nightmare. Apple eventually accepted this and said that this was because of a software bug and rectified the issue. With Apple now gearing up and working on the iPhone 16 series, it seems that it is trying to remove the issue completely from its list of problems. Let’s find out how.
Even though we have just received a new iPhone 15 series and there’s a long time to go before Apple unveils its next iPhone 16 series, the rumours have started to pour in. One such rumour suggests that Apple could possibly be working to figure out the heating problem through a hardware solution this time.
How could Apple solve the heating issue in iPhone 16?
For this, Apple is considering switching to graphene heat sinks on the iPhone 16 and replacing the current copper heat sinks on the iPhone 15 series, according to rumours. Why graphene? Well, that’s simply because graphene offers better thermal conductivity when compared to copper. Apple would pair these graphene heat sinks with new metal bracket housings for the battery. This would allow for better heat transfer and cooling.
If the Californian tech giant indeed goes ahead with this move, then this could be a noticeable change that we could get to see.

Speaking of the iPhone 16 series, this is not the only rumour that’s circulating on the web. Rumours also suggest that Apple could be switching to the A18 Bionic or the A18 Pro chipset for the iPhone 16 Pro models. Further, it is expected that the action button could be replaced by the “capture” button which could be a shutter button, as suggested by its name. There are also rumours that suggest that we could get to see a bigger display this time. Well, for now, it’s too early to say if any of these are going to be true or not.
