Samsung’s foldable smartphones introduced the world with a new technology. A technology that everyone desired but never believed that it could come to life. In the latest development, a new report has surfaced on the internet which is claiming that Samsung could upgrade the display of its foldable smartphones in 2025. According to Samsung’s cycle, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 are expected to debut in 2025. Let me tell you about their alleged display.
According to a report by The Elec, Samsung will introduce a new display technology with its popular foldable smartphones. This new technology is PHOLED, which will be used to reduce battery consumption even more. Currently, foldable smartphones use an OLED display that has blue OLEDs with less efficient fluorescent materials.

A report by UBI Research states that this new technology is expected to launch in the second half of 2025. It is said to launch with Samsung’s flexible OLED material set M15. At first, it was set to launch in the second half of 2024 but that couldn’t go as per the plan. Samsung reportedly postponed the launch of PHOLED to 2025 due to development changes.
Speaking of the PHOLED display, it is said to be more efficient, meaning it will use the battery better. It might be at least 55% efficient and over 65% brighter compared to the display, currently available in Galaxy Z foldable smartphones.
