Google unveiled its flagship Pixel 9 lineup in August last year. Now it is rumoured to extend that lineup soon with the Pixel 9a. Instead of the company’s usual timeline, the Pixel 9a can debut earlier this time. It offers the Pixel features under a budget for those who aren’t ready to shed off the big bucks. If online rumours and leaks are to be believed, pre-orders for the device could begin on March 19, with shipments and in-store availability set for March 26. Let’s take a look at what we know so far about this phone.
Google Pixel 9a release date and specifications
The word on the street is that the Pixel 9a will launch in March and can go on pre-order starting March 19. The device is expected to ship by March 26. This deviates from Pixel’s timeline where it unveils the more affordable variant during its I/O event in May. It can be powered by Google’s Tensor G4 processor. We will get some AI features too. This might be paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The device can also include Google’s Titan M2 security chip for enhanced protection. It can also get an IP68 rating.
For cameras, the Pixel 9a will likely feature a dual-camera setup. This includes a 48-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Additionally, the phone will come with a 5,100mAh battery, capable of 23W wired charging and 7.5W wireless charging.
Googe Pixel 9a expected price
The base model of the Pixel 9a is likely to be priced at $499 which translates to around Rs 42,000 for the 128GB storage variant.
For now, let’s take this with a pinch of salt as Google is yet to share any details on this. We will update you if any information comes up.
