Google unveiled its latest Pixel 9 series just a few weeks back. One of the most interesting phones from that lineup was the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Now, users who are using the Pixel 9 Pro Fold are reporting difficulties accessing 5G services on AT&T’s network. Let’s see what the issue is.
A lot of Pixel 9 Pro Fold users took to Reddit to share their frustrations over the fact that they are unable to access 5G services on AT&T’s networks. The thing is that unlike last year AT&T is not carrying the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which has led to confusion. The unlocked devices should theoretically work with any carrier, given that the necessary network bands are supported.

So according to all the Reddit users, they are unable to get to true 5G speeds on their Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Instead, they are stuck to LTE connections. This issue is limiting their internet speeds. Some users even report similar issues with other Pixel 9 devices. This is despite the fact that AT&T is selling models like the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL directly.
For this, some users are trying temporary solutions like removing the SIM card and placing it in another device before returning it to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. But even with this method, users get access to 5G networks only for a small time before the phone reverts to LTE or AT&T’s “5Ge” network.
Google and AT&T both have not acknowledged or shared any official statement on this issue. Let’s see how they respond to it. The device has just come to India, only time will tell if Indian users also face a similar issue or not.
