It runs on Android 15 with six more OS pending updates. The device comes with IP68 certification.

Pixel 9 also offers Google VPN, Anti-malware and anti-phishing protection, and Spam protection. In terms of camera, the device comes with a 50 MP primary camera, and a 48MP ultrawide camera. For selfies, the device gets a 10.5 MP front camera. The device comes with AI features like Magic Editor, Magic Eraser, Best Take, Photo Unblur, Portrait Light, and 4K video recording features.
