Google unveiled the Pixel 8 series last year. The Pixel 8 series comes with two smartphones for now: the Google Pixel 8 and the Google Pixel 8 Pro. A less expensive version, Pixel 8a, is anticipated to debut in May this year. Ahead of the launch, the retail box of the Google Pixel 8a has been leaked online, revealing its design, charging support and model number.
Images of the retail box of the Pixel 8a smartphone have been shared on a private Facebook group by a Vietnamese user named Hung Nv, reports MySmartPrice.

The retail box images revealed that the Google Pixel 8a handset could feature a design similar to the previously leaked renders.

The pictures also revealed that the smartphone is expected to showcase rounded corners, and this might be slightly more rounded compared to its predecessor.
The Pixel 8a smartphone device will likely house a dual rear camera setup in a rectangular camera island on the back, similar to the Pixel 7a handset.
In the leaked images, we can see the power button and volume rockers on the right side of the device.
Additionally, Google likely plans to include the Google logo at the centre of the rear panel of the smartphone. The information from the retail packaging revealed that the device could bear the model number G6GPR. Furthermore, it revealed that the smartphone is expected to be equipped with 27W wired fast charging support.
The leaked retail packaging highlights the Black colour variant of the Pixel 8a smartphone. The dimensions of the upcoming handset will likely be 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9 mm.
The Pixel 8a’s previously spotted Geekbench listing indicated that the device will likely come equipped with an unblocked version of the Tensor G3 chipset. The octa-core Tensor G3 chipset is expected to be coupled with the Mali G715 GPU. In the benchmark tests, the smartphone achieved a single-core score of 1218 points and a multi-core score of 3175 points.
