Google is expected to launch its upcoming Google Pixel 8 series on October 4, 2023. The California-based tech company will launch two smartphones under the Pixel 8 lineup. This includes the Google Pixel 8 and the Google Pixel 8 Pro. And as is the trend, a year later, Google released the ‘a’ series under the same lineup as an affordable alternative to the flagship Pixel.
Now, ahead of the unraveling of the Pixel 8 series, we have got some news on next year’s Pixel 8a. Images have surfaced online and it is suspected that these are of the Google Pixel 8a. If these images are indeed of the Google Pixel 8a then the design looks quite similar to the Google Pixel 8 series.

A while back, the Google Pixel 8a appeared on the Geekbench listing revealing its GPU, processor, and RAM. The smartphone is codenamed ‘Akita’ and will likely feature a Tensor G3 chipset, just like the Pixel 8 series.
The previous Pixel “a” phone, the Google Pixel 7a was released in May 2023, so if the timeline is followed even the Google Pixel 8a will hit the global market around the same time. For what it’s worth, the images circulating on the internet could just be of a prototype.
