Google launched the Pixel 8 series last month. The new flagship series features a slight change in design as compared to the Pixel 7 series. Usually, the brand rolls out an affordable version a few months after the launch of its numbered flagship series. It’s been one month since the Pixel 8 series debuted in the market. As time passes by, the launch of the Pixel 8a also comes closer. In the latest development, a few pictures of Google Pixel 8a’s dummy unit are circulating on the internet. These pictures gave us a slight idea of how the smartphone will be in terms of design. Let’s check it out.
These dummy pictures were leaked by No Name in collaboration with xleaks7 on LinkedIn. The major change we could see in the Pixel 8a will be most likely its edges. The upcoming Pixel 8a is said to have more round edges than its predecessor. Furthermore, the smartphone could feature a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

On the back, I am noticing a change in the camera module. Unlike the Pixel 7a, the Pixel 8a will reportedly feature two camera sensors which are different in size. The Pixel 7a also has a dual camera setup but it has both camera rings of the same size on the back. However, in the Pixel 8a, there could be a big camera ring along with a small one and an LED flash.
Speaking of its measurement, this could also see a minor change. The smartphone is said to be slimmer and longer than its predecessor. For the context, the Pixel 7a measures 152 x 72.9 x 9 mm. On the other hand, the Pixel 8a is reported to come with a measurement of 153.44 x 72.74 x 8.94mm.

The rest of the details are the same as its predecessor and other Pixel 8 series smartphones. On the right panel, you will get a ‘power button’ and ‘volume rockers’.
Although, the dummy unit didn’t show the SIM tray of the Pixel 8a. In the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, the SIM tray is on the left panel. However, in the pictures of the dummy unit, there was no SIM tray. I guess we just have to have some patience now to know more about it.
