Google Pixel 6a is slated to go official at Google I/O 2022 event to be held online on May 11 and 12. A new report from reliable tipster Jon Prosser claims that the phone will be available in several regions starting July 28. According to leaks that have surfaced so far, the Pixel 6a shares the same design as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro and will be powered by the same Tensor chipset that’s heavily focused on machine learning prowess.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know if the Pixel 6a will launch in India or not. The last Google phone to arrive in the country was the Pixel 4a in 2020 – which is like decades ago in smartphone years.

From what I understand, Google will officially be announcing the Pixel 6a + "teasing" the Pixel Watch.

Google Pixel 6a specifications and features (rumoured)
From what we know so far, the Pixel 6a will sport a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It’ll obviously run the latest Android 12 software at launch and should be first in line for software updates at least for the next 2 years. The Tensor SoC at the heart of the phone will allegedly be backed by 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Although, a lower 6GB RAM variant of the phone was also spotted on Geekbench recently.
The Pixel 6a will reportedly house a 4800mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
The camera should be the exciting highlight of the 6a. The word on the street is that Google will include a dual-camera system including a 12.2MP (f/1.7) Sony IMX363 primary sensor and a 12MP (f/2.2) Sony IMX355 sensor with an ultrawide lens.
Expected connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C charging port, and NFC.
Apart from the Pixel 6a, Google is also likely to talk more about Android 13 software, new WearOS and an upcoming Pixel Watch for Android users (fingers crossed) at the upcoming Google I/O event.
Google Pixel 6a expected price
The Google Pixel 6a is expected to retail in three colours – Black, White, and Green. It’s expected to go official for $350 in the US. If Google decides to launch the Pixel 6a in India, we expect the price will be somewhere close to iPhone SE after factoring in the additional import duties and taxes.
