Google is all set to take the covers off of arguably the most leaked smartphones, the Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL, at an event in New York. Along with the smartphones, the company is expected to unveil the Google Home Hub, Pixelbook 2 and a new Chromecast. There was no information on the India launch, but now, tech news platform mysmartprice has claimed that Google will launch the smartphones in India on October 22. Last year, Google had announced the second generation of Pixel smartphones, the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL, on October 4 and made the phones available for pre-order in India on October 26.
The tech news platform also claims that just after the launch event in India, Google is expected to make the phones available for pre-booking. Google is also said to extend its partnership with Flipkart to sell the Pixel 3 devices in India. Though the specifications and features of the smartphones have been leaked in the wild, we still advise our users to wait until the company confirms them. As per the leaked information, the Pixel 3 might come with a 5.4-inch AMOLED display with 2160×1080 resolution, while the Pixel 3 XL may feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED ‘notched’ display with a resolution of 1440 x 2960. Both the handsets are expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and have 4GB of RAM. Google is expected to offer these smartphone in 64GB and 128GB storage capacities.
When it comes to the camera, it is expected that the two front-facing shooters on both the phones will have 8MP sensors each. While the single rear camera is reported to have f/1.8 and f/2.2 variable aperture, the front shooters may come with a static f/1.8 aperture. The battery on the Pixel 3 XL is expected to have a 3,430mAh capacity, while the Pixel 3 could get a 2,915mAh battery. Both phones should run Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. According to a latest video leak, the retail box is expected to contain a pair of USB-C earphones, a USB-C-to-3.5mm dongle, a USB-C-to-USB-C cable, a USB-C-to-USB-A dongle and an 18W USB-C power adapter. A report has claimed that the prices of the different variants of the smartphone have been leaked in Canada. Reportedly, the Pixel 3 64GB model is available for CAD$999 (approx Rs 57,000), the Pixel 3 128GB is priced at CAD$1129 (approx Rs 64,000), the Pixel 3 XL 64GB is seen up for grabs for CAD$1129 (approx Rs 64,000) and the Pixel 3 XL 128GB is said to cost customers CAD$1259 (approx Rs 71,600).
