Both the smartphones are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform, coupled with 4GB RAM. They feature 64GB/128GB internal storage options. They both come with an 8MP front facing camera.
It is worth noting that many users have reported issues with the Pixel 2 series phones. Some Pixel 2 XL units are apparently showing a screen burn-in issue along with poor colour representation. Some users have also reported of hearing a faint clicking sound on Pixel 2 units. Google responded to the issues, saying that the possibility of burn-in is completely “in line with that of other premium smartphones” and normal. The company also said that the clicking sound is due to a problem with NFC on the Pixel 2 and can be fixed temporarily (as Google works on a patch) by switching it off.
