Google Pixel 11 and Pixel 10a already under development: What you should know
The codenames for the 2026 Pixel lineup are already circulating online.
The Pixel 10a, which will be a mid-range addition to the Pixel 10 series, carries the codename stallion (STA5).
The Pixel 11 series is expected to debut with the Tensor G6 chip.
Google unveiled its Pixel 9 lineup only a couple of months back, and now we have already started to hear rumours about its succeeding generations. Well Pixel lineup is known to have early leaks and now details about the next to next Pixel 11 and the Pixel 10a are already out even though there are about two years before these devices come to the market and there’s the Pixel 10 series will drop before these smartphones.
Google Pixel 11 series and Pixel 10a codenames
According to a report by Android Authority, the codenames for the 2026 Pixel lineup are already circulating online. The Pixel 11 series has bear-themed codenames, these are
- Pixel 11 – cubs (4CS4)
- Pixel 11 Pro – grizzly (CGY4)
- Pixel 11 Pro XL – kodiak (PKK4)
- Pixel 11 Pro Fold – yogi (9YI4)
The Pixel 10a, which will be a mid-range addition to the Pixel 10 series, carries the codename stallion (STA5).
Google Pixel 11 and Pixel 10a specifications and launch
This year, around August, we can expect the Pixel 10 series if Google sticks to its previous timelines. It can be powered by the Tensor G5 chipset from Google. The Pixel 10a should then be unveiled a few months later. The Pixel 9a is expected in a couple of weeks.
The Pixel 11 series can launch in Q2 2026 and is expected to debut with the Tensor G6 chip, codenamed “malibu.”
If reports are to be believed, the Pixel 10a is in the early stages of development, with Google debating between using the Tensor G5 or sticking with the Tensor G4 to keep costs in check.
It will be interesting to see what Google has to offer with the future Pixel lineups, for now, let’s just take this information with a pinch of salt.
