Google Pixel 10 may debut with AI powered assistant Pixie: Here’s what we know

Google reportedly plans to introduce a revamped version of the rumoured Pixie with the Pixel 10 called Pixel Sense.
This AI assistant is expected to integrate deeply with Google’s ecosystem.
Pixel Sense is expected to work entirely on-device.
Google has long envisioned creating a truly smart and contextual assistant. However, its early efforts — like the revamped Google Assistant and the scrapped “At A Glance”— fell short of expectations. Despite these setbacks, in 2023, rumours swirled around “Pixie,” an on-device assistant for Pixel phones designed to leverage data from other Google services for a more intuitive experience. It was initially expected to debut with the Pixel 9, but since that report, there have been no updates. However, a new report suggests that Google hasn’t given up. Instead, it is preparing to launch Pixie with the Pixel 10 series—though under a different name.
According to a source inside Google, Android Authority has learned that the company plans to introduce a revamped version of Pixie with the Pixel 10 called Pixel Sense. The company describes it as a feature that helps users get a highly personalised experience based on their activities on a Pixel phone.

This AI assistant is expected to integrate deeply with Google’s ecosystem. It will likely be able to pull data from multiple Google apps, including:
- Calendar
- Chrome
- Contacts
- Docs
- Files
- Gmail
- Keep Notes
- Maps
- Messages
- Phone
- Photos
- Recorder
- Screenshots
- Wallet
- YT Music
- YouTube
Interestingly, a reference to an app named “Aurelius” was also found, which might be a new Google app yet to be revealed. Apart from using app data, Pixel Sense will likely be able to process media files like images, screenshots, and AI-generated content. Most importantly, Pixel Sense is expected to work entirely on-device. This will enhance privacy, as the data will remain on the phone.
The Pixel 10 series is expected to launch later this year, and it will be interesting to see if Google can finally achieve its vision of a contextual AI assistant.
