Google overhauls Google+ app for Android with new design, UI and more
Google has overhauled its Google app for Android, giving it a cleaner look and improved user interface. The new Google app supports the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and includes various new features. The Google Android app, now Version 2.1, is available for download at the Android Market.

Besides the cleaner look, the new Google app seems more streamlined and easy to use. The design changes have been made as per the changes implemented in Android 4.0. Moreover, the notifications now appear on the top right, while users can now view enhanced and enlarged photos. The profile pictures have also been enlarged in a bid to improve the user experience.
Google’s product manager Ben Eidelson announced the update on his Google account, stating, “We worked closely with the Android team as they developed Android 4.0 (aka Ice Cream Sandwich), so you’ll see the same attention to beauty and simplicity in our new design.”
The Google for Android is promised to have improvements to battery life, notifications, navigation and overall performance. Other notable features of the new app includes a new UI for posting to Google and support for Google Apps. Check out more details about the updated Google Android app here.
