Google may release a Pink or Rose Gold Pixel 3 on October 9

HIGHLIGHTS

Information circulating the internet suggest that Google will launch the Pixel in 3 colours, however, a fourth colour's specifications have been discovered in the source code of the teaser website.

Last week, we saw a teaser hinting at the colour options for the Google Pixel 3 family of devices. The three colours include – white with mint accents, blue and black. Just like the Pixel 2 family of phones, it looks like the Google Pixel 3 devices will sport dual tone backs. Information circulating the internet suggests that there may be a fourth colour in the works that Google hasn’t revealed yet. This fourth colour was discovered in the source code of the teaser. With the tag of coming soon, it looks like the fourth colour for the Pixel 3 series could be pink or ‘rose gold’ as the industry likes to call it. Twitter user @CasVanDinter found the code that contains the fourth colour option.

Evidently, the code is incomplete. This has led some people to believe that Google is messing with us, which is highly possible. There is a strong theory floating about that the Pixel 3 XL leaks we have been seeing around have been planted by Google to throw off leaksters and the media. In the past, Google unveiled both the first and second generation Pixel devices in San Francisco, but the Pixel 3 event will be held in New York on October 9 2018.

Both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL are expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. The Pixel 3 is expected to sport a 5.4-inch AMOLED display while the Pixel 3 XL could house a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. The battery on the Pixel 3 XL is expected to have a capacity of 3,430mAh. Both phones should run Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box, especially considering the update is already out for current Pixel smartphones. The Google Pixel 3 XL also showed up on YouTube in a professional unboxing video done by a Ukrainian Youtuber and the device is also reportedly selling in the black market for as much as $2,000.
