A General 4G (Android One) smartphone user in Turkey claims to have received the update

It seems like Google has already started rolling out the Android Nougat v7.1.1 update. According to a report  by androguider.com, a General 4G (Android One) mobile user in Turkey has already received the update. As per the report, the update is 240.6MB in size and besides bringing stability and bug fixes, it also consists of the December security patch. The Dember security patch is yet to be listed on the Android Security Bulletin. The build number of the update is tipped to be NMF26F.

Last week, a listing by Vodafone Australia had suggested that that the update would start rolling out to Nexus 6P users from tomorrow. The listing by the operator also tipped the update to have the build number, NMF26F, but said that the download size would be 650MB.

Now that the rollout has seemingly begun in Turkey, it shouldn’t take Google too long to start rolling out the update to other countries as well. It’s not known which devices will start receiving the update first, but it will most likely include the the new Pixel devices, as well as a number of Nexus devices like the Nexus 5X, 6P, 6, and 9.
