The Pixel XL is tipped to the larger of the two devices to be unveiled on October 4.

The larger of Google's two upcoming smartphones, Marlin, has been spotted on benchmarking website, Geekbench. The listing seemingly confirms that the phone will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, with 4GB of RAM. These are the same specifications that were earlier spotted on the Google Sailfish smartphone. The two devices are tipped to sport similar specifications, but with different screens sizes. The Sailfish is tipped to sport a 5-inch Full HD display, while the Marlin might feature a 5.5-inch QHD display. Geekbench also lists the device to be running Android NMR1, which stands for Android Nougat Manufacturer Release 1. However, the two devices might not be running stock Android Nougat, instead presenting a tweaked version with additional software.

A few days ago, it was reported that Google may be planning to ditch the Nexus branding, and call the Sailfish and Marlin phones Pixel and Pixel XL. Further, the two devices have been tipped to be unveiled on October 4 along with a new Chromecast and a new Daydream-capable VR headset. The new Chromecast is expected to be capable of streaming 4K video, and might be called the Chromecast Plus or Chromecast Ultra. The new VR headset is tipped to be called the Daydream View.
