These features were initially announced during the Pixel 8 launch last October. Until now, Gemini Nano-powered functionalities have only been accessible on the Pixel 8 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S24.

“Running large language models on phones with different memory specs can deliver different user experiences, so we have been testing and validating this on Pixel 8. We’re excited to provide the opportunity for more enthusiasts and developers to try out Gemini Nano, where we hope to get more feedback and see more innovation,” the company said.

Until now, Google has mainly concentrated on developing AI-powered features that rely on cloud computing, even when tailored for mobile devices.

In January, Google introduced “Circle to Search” for select Pixel and Samsung devices. This week, the company announced that more Pixel and Samsung phones, along with select tablets, will receive the Circle to Search feature. These devices will get the feature starting next week: Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7a, Samsung Galaxy S23 series, Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series. Additionally, the feature will receive an update to support instant translation of on-screen content.
