Gionee’s super slim phone Elife S7 spotted ahead of MWC launch
HIGHLIGHTS

Gionee's Elife S7, measuring just 4.6m, is all set to dethrone the Coolpad Ivvi K1 Mini as the slimmest phone in the world.

We recently reported that Gionee is gearing up for a MWC event where the company is going to showcase a super slim phone. Now, a few leaked images from China reveal how Gionee's super slim phone will look like.

According to leaked images, the Gionee smartphone, dubbed as the Elife S7, is actually very slim. Reports suggest it measures just 4.6 mm, slimmer than the incumbent Coolpad Ivvi K1 Mini (4.7mm). Gionee had launched the super slim Elife S5.1 phone measuring 5.1 mm, but was soon replaced by Oppo R5 measuring 4.85mm. Later Vivo claimed the slimmest phone spot with the 4.8mm X5 Max.

"The race to make the slimmest smartphone was getting out of hand. Going so slim is actually not benefiting user experience without the performance to back it up,” said Oliver Sha, head of global marketing of Gionee.

Slim phones definitely are good at the looks, but lag in the specifications and performance departments.  Gionee, however, can change the notion with its Elife S7 phone by offering better specifications and affordable price point.
