Earlier this year Gionee had unveiled its dual-SIM Elife S7 at the MWC 2015, and now the phone is coming to India. The dual-SIM smartphone, which is just 5.5-mm thin, will be launched on 4th of April.
The new phone Elife S7 Dual-SIM is powered by a MediaTek MT6752 SoC with ots Octa-core CPU clocked at 1.7GHz. This is MediaTek’s 64-bit SoC which was earlier launched in the HTC 820s. Accompanying it, the phone will have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. But, the phone does not have any microSD card slot.
The phone has a 5.2-inch AMOLED display, made by Samsung which Gionee says is 20% more power efficient than normal AMOLEDs. The display has a resolution of 1080p which takes the ppi to 424ppi. At the rear the phone sports a 13MP camera with LED-flash and features an 8MP camera at the front.
While Gionee has made slim phones in the past like the Elife S5.1 and Elife S5.5, this will be its first slim phone with Dual-SIM capability. Price and availability of the smartphone is not yet and out but it is expected Gionee will price it around the Rs. 30,000 mark.
