Gionee S9 launched with 5.5-inch display, dual rear camera set up

Gionee S9, the latest smartphone from Chinese smartphone maker is now official. The smartphone is the first Gionee device to feature dual rear camera setup, a new trend among mobile manufacturers this years.
Gionee S9 features a unibody aluminium design with a 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6755 processor clocked at 2.0GHz.
Gionee S9's highlight here is the use of dual rear camera setup. The smartphone features a combination of 13MP and 5MP image sensors, where the 5MP image sensor is used to add depth to the subject. The primary camera is capable of producing bokeh effect, currently available on smartphones like Huawei P9 and Honor 8. Gionee S9 also sports a 13MP front camera with beautification mode.
Gionee S9 features 4GB RAM and 64GB storage along with support for 128GB expandable storage via microSD card slot. The smartphone is just 7.4mm thick and weighs around 168 grams. Gionee S9 strikes close resemblance to Apple's iPhone 7 in terms of design. The smartphone's front is extremely similar to iPhone 7 and Gionee has even managed to reproduce the matte black colour option.
Gionee S9 is priced at 2,499 Yuan (approximately Rs 24,990) and will be available in November. The smartphone will be available in Gold, Black and Rose Gold colour variants.
