Gionee has launched a new budget smartphone.

Gionee has launched a new budget Android smartphone –  CTRL V4S – in India. Priced at Rs. 9,999, the new Gionee smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM.

The Gionee CTRL V4S has a 4.5-inch IPS display. It sports an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front facing camera. It has 8GB built-in memory. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The phone is powered by an 1800 mAh battery.

Mr. Arvind Vohra, India Head, Gionee smartphones said,” India is an important market for Gionee and we feel there is no better way to give back to the consumers than by introducing a new smartphone this festive season. With every product we introduce we have been trying to make communication simpler and faster and have been constantly coming up with new features like the Hotknot in this device.”

Gionee recently made it to news for making it to Guinness Book of World Records for launching the world's slimmest smartphone – Elife S5.1
