Gionee has announced the launch of another selfie-centric smartphone in its A1 series. At Rs 14,999, the Gionee A1 Lite is aimed at consumers looking for a selfie-centric smartphone under Rs 15,000 price segment. The A1 Lite will go on sale starting August 10 across all of its retail stores.
Gionee A1 Lite is the third smartphone in company's A1 series and it joins the more premium A1 and A1 Plus smartphones. As part of launch offers, Airtel subscribers will get additional 10GB data per month for 6 months on any data recharge of 1GB or above. The Gionee A1 Lite buyers also get two PayTM cash back voucher codes offering a cashback of Rs 250 on minimum purchase of Rs 350 on PayTM Mall.
On the hardware front, Gionee A1 Lite features a 5.3-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. With the unibody metal construction, Gionee A1 Lite sports a design similar to other A1 series smartphones in the past. It comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor. The Gionee A1 Lite features a 13MP primary camera and a 20MP selfie camera.

The Gionee A1 Lite also sports a front fingerprint sensor, which the company claims can unlock the device in just 0.1 seconds. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat and is backed by a 4000mAh battery along with support for 4G VoLTE. The handset will be available in gold and black colour options.
