Google announced the Gemini Live in August, this is the company’s first Gemini-powered voice assistant. Gemini Live offers you real-time conversation just like other AI voice assistants such as Siri, and Google Voice Assistant, but with better and more detailed answers. Now, in the latest development, Chief Product Officer at Oppo and Founder of OnePlus, Pete Lau has announced that Gemini Live is coming to select Oppo and OnePlus phones. Moreover, he also mentioned that the voice assistant will be available in “40+ languages in coming weeks.”
However, the specific Oppo and OnePlus phones that will receive the Gemini Live update have not yet been disclosed. The OnePlus 13 is highly anticipated in the coming weeks, so we expect the brand to announce the availability of Gemini Live for devices during the OnePlus 13 event.
Excited that with the Google @GeminiApp you can now go Live with Gemini to chat naturally using just your voice, and Gemini Live will be available in 40+ languages in coming weeks on select @oppo and @oneplus devices. #chatwithgemini pic.twitter.com/iPA6H27YRE

What can Gemini Live do?
Gemini Live allows users to engage in natural conversations with the Gemini app, which provides an intuitive chat experience. It is accessible from the bottom-right corner of the interface and it expands to full screen with options to “Hold” or “End” the conversation.
Users can close the app while the chat continues in the background and can terminate sessions by saying “stop” or swiping down to access notifications. Each conversation includes a text transcript of user prompts and Gemini’s responses. This can make it easy for you to restart sessions.
While currently lacking support for Gemini Extensions (like real-time chat for Gmail and YouTube Music), these features are on the way, along with camera functionality through Project Astra. Gemini Live is now available on many Android devices and is expected to arrive soon in Oppo and OnePlus devices.
