The navigation-centric Garmin-Asus nuvifone M10 has been released in India, after its announcement in January, and comes with Windows Mobile 6.5.3 right out of the box, making it the first smartphone in the country to do so. Its release price is Rs. 19,990, which is rather good value for money when you consider the many features it offers. The phone has yet to release in the rest of the world.
The feature-rich phone has: a 3.5-inch WVGA [480×800] restive touchscreen, 600MHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB RAM, accelerometer, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, 5MP autofocus camera, 4GB internal memory, microSD support, as well as support for HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. All this, apart from of course the navigation part of the navigation phone: it comes with preinstalled map data for 62 of India’s largest cities (courtesy Navteq), with turn-by-turn voice guided navigation, junction view, lane assist, and Ciao, a new feature that lets users check the proximity of their nearest friends.
