When Samsung released its invite for an Unpacked Event on September 3, rumours were rife the company will showcase its next generation Note smartphone. However, new information suggests the smartphone will be unveiled after the Unpacked event, between September 15-28. The latest info comes via a leaked Samsung product announcement memo. Though there are also interpretations that the smartphone will be announced on September 3 and will launch in markets between that period.

It's worth pointing it out here Samsung has already dropped a big hint for the Note 4 in the invites sent out for the September 3 event. There's been a lot of buzz around Samsung's September 3 event, especially after a Samsung executive revealed that the company is working on a device made from “new material” – likely to be the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and a large screen device – possibly the Note 4.

According to rumours, the Note 4 will sport a 5.7-inch Quad HD display. The phone will be available in two versions – one running the Exynos 5433, while the other one on Snapdragon 805 – along with 3GB of RAM.

Other rumoured specifications include 16MP rear camera with Sony IMX240 sensor and optical image stabilisation, 2MP front facing camera, Android 4.4.4 KitKat, OLED display.
