Galaxy Core due soon, appears on Samsung India website and online retailers

Samsung Galaxy Core running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sporting a 4.3-inch TFT display appears on the official Samsung India website.

Samsung’s recently announced Galaxy Core is about to make its debut in the Indian market, having appeared on the company’s India page. The dual-core smartphone has also made its appearance on Indian online shopping websites such as Saholic, Flipkart and Infibeam, but the product is listed as a forthcoming item and there is no information available on the pricing of the smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Core I8262 has a 4.3-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with a 480×800 pixel resolution. A 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 1GB RAM powers the device. It sports 8GB built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The rear of the smartphone has a 5MP camera along with an LED flash and it houses a VGA front facing camera for video calling. The Galaxy Core also supports dual-SIM capabilities. In terms of connectivity options, the device has 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0 along with GPS. An 1,800mAh battery powers the entire package and the Galaxy Core runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The Galaxy Core brings with it a slew of features such as Samsung’s ChatON Messenger service; Samsung Premium Hub Services along with Cloud service.

The Galaxy Core also brings with it a few features found on high-end Samsung devices such as Smart Stay, Smart Alert (informs you of missed calls/new messages as soon as you pick up the phone) and Best Shot (recommends the best photos per 8 continuous shots).
