Fresh reports reveal RAM and internal storage configurations of Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus
HIGHLIGHTS

The Samsung Galaxy S9 will reportedly launch in two variants with 4GB RAM and options for 64GB, 28GB ROM, whereas the Galaxy S9 Plus could feature 6GB RAM with three internal storage variants.

A fresh leak from China, via SamMobiles, tips at the possible Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ storage and RAM variants that the company might launch. The report suggests that the Galaxy S9 could be launched in two variants, one with 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB storage and another with 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM.

As per the report, The larger Galaxy S9 Plus might be launched offering 6GB of RAM with options for 64GB, 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage. There are also rumours which tip at another variant of the smartphone with 512GB ROM, however, it’s speculated that it would only be offered for select markets and in limited quantities.

It was rumoured that Samsung might launch the two smartphones at CES 2018, but it seems unlikely now. A previous report indicated that the FCC has certified two Samsung devices with model numbers SM-G960F and SM-G965F, which are speculated to be the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus respectively.

Coming to the features specifications and features of the smartphones, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are expected to sport a design akin to their predecessors. The smartphones are tipped to be powered by the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 platform and will most likely be launched running on Android 8.0 Oreo.

Both the smartphones are rumoured to sport a dual-camera setup, similar to the Galaxy Note 8. Some previously leaked CAD renders of the devices suggested that the Galaxy S9 Plus could come with a 6.1-inch display and a rear placed fingerprint sensor, which contradicts the rumours of the handset featuring an under display fingerprint sensor. The Galaxy S9 will reportedly feature a 5.65-inch display and come with a single camera at the rear instead of dual image sensors.
