Huawei plans to expand its presence in Indian smartphone market by launching four new smartphones, to sell exclusively via offline retail markets

Huawei has brought four new smartphones to the Indian smartphone market, and is targeting the offline retail stores to market them. The smartphones are Y336, Y541 and Y625 from Huawei's Y series, and G620s from its G series. The new smartphones are priced between Rs. 5,499 and Rs. 9,499, and will be sold across 1,000 offline retail stores. These smartphones will sell outside Huawei's e-brand, Honor, that is available exclusively online.

Stating in Huawei's official press release, President of Huawei Telecommunications India Mr. Allen Wang said, "After the global success in the first half of 2015 with our smartphones sales crossing 50 million units, making us global number 3, we are excited to launch our "Huawei Brand" series in India. The good news is that the new series will be available through the retail route where our customers can experience the products first hand. Keeping in mind the value proposition and commitment we offer to our consumers, Huawei is rapidly strengthening its after sales network to serve them better."

Huawei has also stated that the mid-segment smartphone launch will be closely followed by the launch of its global premium range, giving Huawei fans in India much to cheer about. The Huawei G620s is the most powerful of the four smartphones being launched, according to specifications.

The G620s is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2Ghz, along with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. It comes loaded with Android KitKat v4.4.2 underneath Huawei's Emotion UI 3.0. It also features an 8-megapixel primary camera, 2-megapixel front camera, 5-inch 720p IPS LCD display, and is powered by a 2000mAh battery.
