We were hearing that instead, the first foldable device from the California-based company could be a foldable Mac. However, that seems to be untrue. Fresh reports are refuting the previous claims to say that Apple is still working on a foldable smartphone that could come out in the next few years. Read along for more details.

It was also shared that Apple had paused the development of a foldable smartphone and the first foldable from the company could be a Mac. But now, a tipster has shared that Apple might be planning to release a foldable iPhone by 2026.

According to a senior Apple official quoted by AlphaBiz, "After careful consideration, Apple has confirmed the release of its foldable iPhone for the later-than-expected year of 2026," stating, "Given the delayed…
Tipster Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the information and revealed that a foldable iPhone will possibly be the first foldable from the company. It could be looking for a release of the same by the year 2026. He even quoted a report from AlphaBiz while giving us the date of 2026. In addition to this, he even pointed out that since Apple is releasing its foldable smartphone long after its competitors, we might not get to see a lot of cutting-edge technologies.
The AlphaBiz report also shared that Apple might be working to make its foldable iPhone lighter than those in the market. It could also focus on preventing the crease marks on the foldable display that the other foldable smartphones are facing issues with.
