Poco is preparing to launch its latest budget smartphone, the Poco M7 5G, on March 3 in India, industry sources have revealed to Digit. Poco aims to disrupt the sub-Rs10K segment with features such as a 4nm Qualcomm chip, Turbo RAM, and more.
According to people familiar with the matter, the M7 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and is paired with up to 6GB of RAM.
The official Poco M7 teaser reveals a design that features significantly reduced bezels compared to its predecessor, the Poco M6. The front-facing camera remains housed in a punch-hole display, with a rounded frame maintaining design continuity with previous models. On the back, we have a circular camera module that likely houses two cameras.
Previously, the M7 surfaced in a Google Play Console listing that corroborates what we know so far about the M7, including the presence of the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 with two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores at 2.0GHz. The display reportedly offers a resolution of 1640 x 720 pixels, just like the M6.
Sources indicate the device will ship with Android 14, despite Android 15 having been available for approximately six months. This could raise questions about the device’s long-term software support, especially considering the M6 Pro 5G was promised two major OS updates.

Poco M7 Pricing & Availability Details
While POCO has confirmed the March 3 launch date, pricing details remain under wraps. Industry observers expect the company to maintain its aggressive pricing strategy, potentially undercutting competitors with similar specifications. We expect the Poco M7 to follow in the footsteps of the M6 and will be priced under Rs 10,000 at launch.
