iQOO is gearing up to launch its latest flagship smartphone in India. The smartphone is said to be the first one to debut in India with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. In this article, we will give you an exclusive first look at the all-new design of the iQOO 12. iQOO invited us to Jaisalmer to try out the new iQOO 12 and experience the new look of its upcoming flagship smartphone. Let’s check it out.
In terms of design, iQOO 12 features an all-new back panel. It will launch in two colours, which are Legend and Alpha. Basically, the Alpha variant features an all-black back panel. Whereas, the Legend comes with a white back panel with BMW M Motorsport branding. With the iQOO 12, the brand is introducing a new camera module with round edges. iQOO is calling it the “Porthole” design which is inspired by a submarine or a spaceship window.

Cut to the chase, the brand has changed the whole smartphone in terms of design when we compare it to the iQOO 11.
Now let’s check out how the back panel of iQOO 12 compares with the back panel of its predecessor.
We have the Legend variant of the iQOO 12. We will get to see a glass back panel this year instead of the leather back panel. For those who don’t know, the iQOO 11 Legend variant features a leather back panel. Furthermore, the second big change is the BMW M branding. Last year, iQOO featured the BMW M branding on the iQOO 11 with three big strips, going from top to bottom. However, this year the BMW M branding looks more subtle and is also placed differently. The iQOO branding placement remains pretty much the same.

Another big change is the camera module. In iQOO 11, we had a rectangular camera module that consists of a triple camera setup but no Periscope lens. Also, the LED flashlight was also placed inside the camera module. Talking about the iQOO 12 now, it also has a triple camera setup but with a Pericope Telephoto sensor. The cylindrical LED flashlight has been shifted outside the camera module. The camera module also mentions “100X Tele Lens” indicating at the smartphone’s 100X zoom capabilities.
So, that’s all about the first look of iQOO 12. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming flagship smartphone.
