Dual-core Videocon A24 Android 4.2 smartphone launched at Rs. 4,699

Videocon launched new budget device, powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, and running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, at Rs. 4,699.

Videocon has launched a new pocket-friendly Android smartphone, the A24. It boasts of a 4-inch screen, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and a dual-core 1.2GHz processor. Videocon has launched the A24 for Rs. 4,699 in India.

Videocon A24 brings some decent features to the table with its 4-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) capacitive touchscreen and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It has dual cameras, a 3.2 MP rear camera for clicking images and a VGA front camera for video conferencing calls. It has a dual core 1.2GHz processor that is coupled with 256MB of RAM. It has 512MB of ROM that’s expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card slot.

On the connectivity front, the A24 offers Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS. It offers dual-SIM support and has a 1450mAh lithium-ion battery that according to the company lasts for the whole day. Videocon has preloaded the mobile with popular applications like TOI, Hungama, V Store, etc. The A24 is available in two colours – black and white – for a price tag of Rs. 4,699.

A simple and intuitive layout engages the consumers with the device and brings to them various vistas which help them to make the most of their Android smartphone experience.”

Videocon has recently launched the A55HD smartphone meant for the youth. It has a 5-inch OGS capacitive touchscreen display with a 1280 x 720 pixels display resolution. The phone houses an 8MP rear camera with Panorama Shot and a 3.2 MP front camera for video calling. The phone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and a quad core processor, and is available for Rs. 13,499.
