Leaks reveal that Google has planned to launch a new smartphone in 2023, Google Pixel Fold. 91Mobiles revealed the display specifications of the Pixel Fold. The smartphone will likely have a similar design to the Oppo Find N model.
The reports suggested that Google will launch the new Google Pixel Fold in March 2023. Ahead of the release, reports have emerged of developer Kuba Wojciechowski, revealing the display specifications of the new smartphone. The Pixel Fold will equip a Samsung-made display on the inner and outer screens.
The large screen inside will support a resolution of 1840×2208 and measure 123mm x 148mm. In addition, the display will attain a peak brightness of up to 1200 nits, with an average brightness of 800 nits. Further, the phone will support a high refresh rate of 120Hz.
On the camera front, Pixel Fold would have triple cameras on the back comprising a 64MP IMX787 primary sensor, a 12MP IMX386 ultrawide unit, and a 10.8MP S5K3J1 telephoto sensor. In addition, the inner camera of the device may use an 8MP IMX355 sensor, while the outer camera on the front may feature an S5K3J1 sensor.
According to the Android 12 beta source code, Pixel Fold uses the same hardware as the Pixel 6. However, 91Mobiles did not publish any details about the hardware specifications. A Tensor chipset will likely power the foldable. It is also possible that the Pixel Fold will feature the third unannounced Tensor chip due out in 2023.
Google has not confirmed if the rumours are true, but users can expect details to unfold early in 2023. Reports have suggested that Google's new smartphone model, Pixel Fold, will arrive in March 2023.
