Poco recently unveiled a launch teaser for the Poco X5 Pro

This is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition

The smartphone will launch in India on February 6.

Pathaan is being widely celebrated for bringing back the good ol’ Bollywood blockbuster film. In fact, the movie reportedly earned ₹100 Crores globally during its first day, much to the delight of fans who stormed the theatres to show their love for King Khan. Knowing that Pathaan is likely to see packed halls for a long time, Poco decided to cash in on the opportunity by airing its launch announcement for the POCO X5 Pro during the movie’s interval. You know, when people leave their seats to get popcorn or stand in unbearably long lines in the loo. 

Twitter didn’t let you miss the announcement!

Fortunately, Twitter did what it does best – it spread the news. Twitter users shared snapshots of the launch creative on the platform, revealing that it will take place on February 6 at 5.30 pm. The creative shows the brand’s ambassador, Hardik Pandya, holding the POCO X5 Pro. You can also see the Flipkart logo, which indicates that this smartphone may be exclusively sold on the e-commerce website. 

POCO X5 Pro specifications (expected)

It is believed that the POCO X5 Pro is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition. Based on that, the smartphone may offer a 6.6-inch FullHD+ OLED display with HDR10+ support and a 120Hz refresh rate. It may run on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor and come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256G of internal storage. 

The smartphone is said to have a 108MP primary camera, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro camera. It may also have a 16MP front camera. The POCO X5 Pro is believed to pack a 5000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.
