As expected, Dell has launched two of its top-end smartphones in the Indian market today, the Dell Venue, and the Dell Venue Pro. The Dell Venue runs on Android 2.2 Froyo, while the Dell Venue Pro runs on Windows Phone 7. The reason to call the WP7 version the Pro model was not because of Office document editing that the Froyo Venue also offers, but because it features a vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard.
The Dell Venue is priced at Rs. 29,990, and is called the “perfect one-touch, 3.5G smarpthone” by the company. It features a 4.1-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with Gorilla Glass protection, an 8MP camera, apart from a 1GHz processor.
