Creo has launched its smartphone, the Mark 1 in India at Rs. 19,999. The smartphone runs the company’s proprietary Android-based operating system called Fuel OS, and the device will be available for purchase from either Flipkart, or the company’s own website. The highlight of the phone is the fact that the company has promised to update the OS with new features every month. The phone comes with a number of features such as Retriever, Echo and Sense. Retriever is aimed at detecting theft and automatically sends an alert to the user’s email ID when a new SIM is inserted into the phone. The company claims that the feature can work without an active internet connection, and even after a factory reset. Echo lets users set a greeting to callers and record their messages if the user is unable to pick up a call. Sense lets users search for anything on the phone by double tapping the home button.
The Creo Mark 1 comes with a metal body along with Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and back of the phone. The device has a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with 2.5D glass and is powered by a 1.95GHz Mediatek Helio X10 processor with 3GB of RAM. The phone is equipped with a 3100mAh battery and 32GB of onboard storage that can be expanded by up to 128GB. At the back of the phone is a 21MP primary camera with Sony Exmor IMX230 sensor. It comes with phase detection autofocus and support for 4K videos. It also supports 120 fps Ultra Slo-Mo videos in Full HD. At the front is an 8MP front camera with a 86 degree wide lens and a Beautify mode. The phone also supports Dual SIM and 4G connectivity.
The Creo Mark 1 also comes with a ReFuel app where users suggest features, and access forums, support, tips and get information about an update before they install it. The company also announced that each update will come with an adoption rate and individual rating. Furthermore, the company will credit users who suggested certain features that are included with an update. The next update for the Mark 1 is scheduled for May 13, and will include a Photo Editor, Selfie Screen Flash, Automatic BKG Data Manager, Auto & Customisable Echo, and Sense 2.0.
