Creo Mark 1 smartphone promises monthly OS updates
Creo claims that it will deliver month OS updates to the Mark 1 smartphone that will add one major new feature to the phone
Creo has teased a new smartphone called the Mark 1, and said that the phone will deliver a new experience each month. The company plans to do so by releasing new OS updates, which would add one major new feature each month. The phone would run Google’s Android operating system, with Creo’s UI layered over it.
Creo has not revealed any hardware specifications or the price of the device as yet. However, the company may be hoping to differentiate itself from its competition via the monthly updates that it plans to roll out. In its official blog, Creo said, “At CREO, we’re committed to #MakeBetter Android. And because we want to leave no stone unturned, we’re building both, the Operating System and the smartphone. With our OS we’ll send you relevant updates that shall keep your phone running just as new as the first time you held it. And not just that, we’ll also ship a big new feature with every update.” Back in January, Creo secured a $3 million funding to develop a smartphone as well as a proprietary OS based on Android.
