Coolpad Note 6 with dual selfie cameras, Snapdragon 435 launched starting at Rs 8,999

The Coolpad Note 6 is an India-exclusive smartphone and will be sold offline. It comes with 4GB RAM and options of 32GB or 64GB of expandable storage.

Coolpad has launched its latest Note 6 smartphone in India. The device is exclusive to the country and will be available through offline retail channels starting May 1. The highlight of the smartphone is the dual selfie camera setup, which comes with a dedicated LED flash and a 120-degree wide angle lens. The Coolpad Note 6 comes in a Gold colour variant and will be available via the company’s offline multi-brand stores across 8 states of Delhi NCR, Haryana, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. The phone has been launched in two variants – one with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage priced at Rs 8,999 and another with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage costing Rs 9,999.

In terms of specifications, the Coolpad Note 6 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC and features a 5.5-inch full HD display with a 1080x1920p resolution. It comes with a single 13MP rear camera with a 6P f/2.2 aperture lense and on the front, it is equipped with 8MP + 5MP dual cameras with a 120-degree wide-angle lens. The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and is backed by a 4070 mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver standby time of 350 hours on a single charge.

Despite a lot of options for Indian customers in this price range, customers have opted for Coolpad devices because they appreciate the quality, power pact and rich features of Coolpad smartphones. With a dual selfie camera, great viewing experience, long lasting battery, Coolpad Note 6  will offer a great value for money smartphone for the Indian customers. We are also planning to introduce few more aggressive offline devices in next 2-3 months, in order to make an expansion in the offline market through our retails partners and multi-brand outlets. We are expecting that Coolpad will be able to make a strong presence in offline market by the end of 2018.”

The company previously launched its Coolpad A1 and the Coolpad Mega 4A budget phones in India priced at Rs 5,499 and Rs 4,299 respectively. They are also offline exclusive smartphones. The Coolpad A1 features a 5-inch HD display and sports a curved-back with a gold colour finish. On the rear is an 8MP camera, whereas on the front is a 5MP shooter. It is powered by the Snapdragon 210 1.1Ghz quad-core chipset, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It packs a 2,500mAh battery and supports 4G connectivity as well.

The Coolpad Mega 4A is powered by the Qualcomm Spreadtrum SC 9832 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz quad-core processor alongside 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It features a 5-inch full HD display and sports a 5MP rear camera, and a 2MP front sensor. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and is powered by a 2,000mAh battery.
